Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 small bowl besan
  2. 1 onion chopped
  3. 1 potato chopped
  4. 1 small bowl chopped spinach
  5. 1 green chilli chopped
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1/2tspn hing
  8. For batter and tempering
  9. 1 bowl besan
  10. 1 bowl sour curd
  11. 1 tspn salt or to taste
  12. 1 tspn haldi powder
  13. 1 tspn red chilli powder
  14. 2 to 3 dry red chilli1 tspn jeera
  15. 1/2 tspn hing
  16. 1 tspn dhania powder
  17. 1tspn fenugreek seeds
  18. 1 tblspn ghee

Instructions

  1. To make the batter of pakodas, take a bowl by taking besan, chopped onion, choped potato, achopped green chilli and chopped spinach.mix it.
  2. Now add salt, red chilli powder and hing..mix it and little bit water if required.see the consistency..batter should be thick.
  3. Now heat the oil to fry.
  4. Make the balls or take 1 scopp of batter in your hand and drop it in the heated oil.
  5. Deep fry it from both the sides.
  6. When it turns brown on color , remove them from the oil.
  7. Now pakodas are ready to dip in the Kadhi.
  8. Now for the Kadhi batter, take a bowl.
  9. Add besan, sour curd, salt, hing, dhania powder and haldi powder.
  10. Mix it very well and add some water.
  11. See the cobsistency.
  12. If there are lumps u can blend also.
  13. The batter should be little watery.
  14. Now take heavy bottom pan.
  15. Pour all the batter in it .
  16. Stirr it continously so that it cannot gets burnt from the bottom..
  17. When it starts getting thickened and changes color in yellow that means it is getting cooked slowly slowly.
  18. Keep stirring .
  19. After 20 to 25 when it gets cooked, off the flame.
  20. For tempering, take a small pan by adding ghee in it.
  21. Heat it and hing, jeera, dry red chilli and red chilli powder.
  22. Add this temper to the Kadhi.
  23. Add veg pakodas to Kadhi before 5 mins of serving..
  24. Serve it with chapati or jeera rice.
