Ingredients to make sarso ka saag

  • mustard shrub leaves 1 kg
  • spinach 1/2 kg
  • chenopodium album ( bathua ) 350 gm
  • asafoetida 1 tspn
  • ginger 2 inches
  • garlic 2 pods
  • onion 1 chopped
  • salt
  • corn meal 4 tspn
  • ghee 10 tspn
  • green chillies 6

How to make sarso ka saag

  1. finally chop all the leaves
  2. wash them properly
  3. peel and chopped ginger garlic and onion and green chillies
  4. in a cooker add chopped leaves . chopped ginger garlic asafoetida salt cover it and cook for 35 minuets
  5. open the lid add corn meal and churn well .
  6. Cook again for 20 minuets on very slow flame
  7. prepare tempering by adding chopped onion and asafoetida in ghee add it to the prepared mixture
