Ingredients to make Punjabi No butter makhani daal

  • 1cup black urad lentil
  • 1/2 cup chana lentil
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tomatoes boiled and puree
  • 1/2 milk
  • 1tsp kashmiri chilli powder.
  • 1tsp garam masala
  • 2-3 cardamom
  • 3-4 cloves
  • 2 taj patta
  • 1tsp fresh corriander chopped
  • A pinch of hing
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1tsp turmeric
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1tsp ginger garlic paste

How to make Punjabi No butter makhani daal

  1. Boil lentil in water with salt and turmeric
  2. Now heat oil in another pan add ginger garlic paste, cumin, cloves cardamom, tej patta, and onions
  3. Now add tomatoe puree and saute for a mint.
  4. Add garam masala, corriander chopped, and lentils
  5. Now cook for a while and add milk and switch off the gas
  6. NO Butter makhani dal ready
