About Paneer Saunfiana Recipe

Paneer Saunfiana

Ingredients to make Paneer Saunfiana

  • For Roasting -
  • dalchini - 1 stick - 1½ Inch
  • bay leaf - 1
  • Star masala - 1
  • red chilli Whole - 1
  • elaichi Small - 2
  • saunf Moti - ½ Tbsp
  • Laung - 4 pc
  • Kalimirch - 4 pc
  • jeera sabut - 1 tsp
  • Dhaniya Powder - 1 Tsp
  • Other Ingredients -
  • paneer - 200 gms
  • cashews - ½ Cup
  • ginger - ½ Inch
  • garlic - 5-6 Cloves
  • onion (Big) - Chopped -1
  • oil - 1 Tbsp
  • honey - 1 Tsp
  • haldi Powder - ¼ Tsp
  • Khatai Powder - 1/3 Tsp
  • water - ½ Cup + 1 Cup
  • coriander Leaves - Few
  • salt - To Taste

How to make Paneer Saunfiana

  1. Take all Roasting ingredients except Dhaniya Powder, in a non stick pan. Dry Roast for 2 minute.
  2. Add Dhaniya Powder. Roast for 10 seconds.
  3. Transfer to a bowl.
  4. Add little Oil to the pan & add Cashews to it. Cook for 2 minute on medium flame. Transfer to the same bowl.
  5. Heat Oil in the pan. Add Ginger & Garlic. Cook for a minute on high flame.
  6. Add Onion. Cook for 3 minute. Cool down.
  7. Once Cashew & Spice Mix cools down, add it to the grinder. Turn into powder.
  8. Add Onion Mix. Turn into paste.
  9. Paste made here will be sticky. So alternatively, you can make powder & grind onion paste separately.Then mix both in next step.
  10. Add the onion, cashew & spice mix paste to the same pan. Add ½ Cup Water to the grinder. Clean from all sides.
  11. Add to the pan. Cook for a minute on low flame.
  12. Add Haldi & Amchoor. Cook for a minute.
  13. Add 1 Cup Water & Salt. Cook for a minute.
  14. Add Paneer. Cook for 2 minute.
  15. Add Honey. Mix. Switch off the flame. Add Coriander. Mix.
  16. Paneer Saunfiana is ready. Serve Hot with Chapati/Naan/Rice :)
