About Rajma Recipe

Most yummy n favourite of all Punjabi's rajma chawal.

Rajma

Ingredients to make Rajma

  • 2-4 hrs soaked 1/2 bowl rajma,
  • 2-3 onion
  • 4 tomatoes
  • ginger 1 inch
  • garlic 2-3
  • 3 spoon tomato puree,
  • 1-2 green chilli
  • fresh coriander.
  • salt to taste
  • red chilli 1 tsp
  • garam masala 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • jeera 1 tsp
  • kasoori methi 1 tsp

How to make Rajma

  1. First boil soaked rajma for 10-15 mins.
  2. Side by side grind onion, tomato ginger , garlic, green chili in mixer.
  3. Take a fry pan, heat oil and add jeera or Rai ( according to your choice). Add the mixture .
  4. After 5 mins add all ingredients according to your taste. cover the pan till the masala is ready.
  5. Now add masala in cooker and boil the rajma for 5-10 mins. After that open the lid of cooker and crush kasoori methi on rajma .
  6. Add chopped coriander and serve rajma with roti or rice.

My Tip:

Kasoori methi and cream, intead of jeera u can use rai also.

yup...rajma is always a perfect match with rice...
