ABOUT Badam Kesar Sherbet (Concentrate) RECIPE

Almonds are the base ingredients for curries, sweets, snacks and drinks. Almonds are rich in vitamin E and have antioxidant properties. In this recipe, I have used kashmiri badams, rich in oil and have distinctive taste, flavour and abundant energy. During summers, Badam sherbet has cooling properties.

Ingredients Serving: 20

  1. Almonds 200 gms
  2. Water 400 ml
  3. Sugar 800 gms
  4. Saffron 1/4 tsp
  5. Green Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp


  1. Soak almonds overnight, peel and keep aside.
  2. Soak saffron for 4-5 hours.
  3. Make sugar syrup of 1 string consistency. Keep aside to cool.
  4. Grind almonds using the syrup.
  5. Strain the almond milk and repeat the process of grinding and straining a few times. (I did it 5 times).
  6. Now mix almond milk and sugar syrup and boil it on a low heat for 10 minutes.
  7. Store the concentrate in a sterilized bottles and refrigerate it.
