Mushroom masala with punjabi lacha parantha

Ingredients to make Mushroom masala with punjabi lacha parantha

  • 1 packet of mushrooms
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 5-6 garlic cloves
  • 1 small piece ginger chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cardamom
  • 1 tsp khus khus
  • 6-7 cashew nuts
  • 1/2 bowl peas
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp dhaniya masala
  • 1 tsp garam masala Oil
  • cucumber raita ingredients are:-
  • 1 grated cucumber
  • 1 bowl thick beatened chilled curd
  • 1/2 tsp black salt
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp raita masala
  • 1/2 tsp jeera powder

How to make Mushroom masala with punjabi lacha parantha

  1. Wash the mushrooms thoroughly with warm water after chopping them and kept aside.
  2. Now take oil in a pressure cooker. Add bay leaf.
  3. Now add green cardamoms and let it’s aroma spreads.
  4. Then add chopped onions to sauté it till it turns pink.
  5. In the meantime add chopped tomatoes, ginger and garlic cloves with khus khus to make a paste in mixer grinder.
  6. When onions r sautéed add tomato paste made in mixer grinder. Let it becomes mushy and mixed well till oil specks from the sides.
  7. Then add cashew nuts to lightly roast in it. Then add all dry spices followed by mushrooms.
  8. Let it be mixed well with all ingredients. Now add 1/2 glass water followed by peas .
  9. Close the pressure cooker with lid and allow the whistle to blow for 5-7 minutes.
  10. Open it add fresh cream if desired or garnish with roasted cashew. So yummylicious mushroom matar masala is ready to be served.
  11. FOR CUCUMBER RAITA :-
  12. Beat the curd and kept it aside in fridge.
  13. Then after sometime at the time of serving add grated cucumber and all dry spices.
  14. Mix well and garnish with frozen strawberry pieces.

My Tip:

Mushroom should be washed well with all purpose flour and water to clean thoroughly..
