Wash and drain the moong Dal completely .
In a deep pan , gently roast the dal till it releases aroma , colour gets changed slightly .
Add 2 cups of water to the roasted dal .
Cover the pan and cook till dal gets soft and mushy .
Now add the green peas and chopped carrots to the Dal .
Cover and cook till veggies get done . Remove from the heat.
In a pan , melt ghee , fry green chillies . Transfer it to the Dal .
In the same pan , heat half of the mustard oil .
Add dry coconut pieces , Fry till Brown. Transfer this to the Dal .
Heat the remaining mustard oil in the same pan . Crackle cumin seeds , fry ginger paste , turmeric powder , cumin powder , chilli powder .
Now glacé the Dal by adding this seasoning mixture .
Add salt and sugar.
Switch on the stove . Cook Dal for another 5 minutes in low heat . Cover the pan and slow cook .
Bhaja Muger Dal is ready .
Serve hot with steamed rice .
