Dahi bhalla is a rajasthani dish which is delicious and is usually made on different occassions.

Ingredients to make Dahi bhalla

  • urad dal 250 grams
  • salt as per taste
  • curd 200 grams
  • sugar a spoon
  • hing 1/4 teaspoon
  • coriander 3 tablespoons
  • green chillies 2
  • garlic cloves 5
  • salt as per taste
  • tamarind 25 grams
  • jaggery 1 tablespoon
  • red chilli powder
  • ginger powder
  • oil to feel fry bhallas
  • Warm water to soak bhallas

How to make Dahi bhalla

  1. Soak the dal overnight or 4 hours In the morning drain the water and grind well. Add a pinch of salt in it and whisk with hands so that it become a fluffy.
  2. In a blender add coriander garlic chillies and salt. Grind well to masale green chutney.
  3. Take tamarind and dissolve in water for 10 mins Remove pulp and add ginger powder jaggery and red chilli powder
  4. Cook this for 5 to 10 minutes till it become a a bit thick
  5. Whisk curd properly . Add sugar and mix well.
  6. In a pan heat oil Drop spoon sized balls of the dal
  7. Deep fry till golden brown Dip in warm water
  8. After 15 minutes
  9. Squeeze out water from bhallas
  10. Add sweetened curd
  11. Add green chutney
  12. Add tamarind chutney
  13. Sprinkle some red chilli powder and some salt
  14. Serve.
