Ingredients to make Chana dal bari ki sabji

  • chana dal bari - 2 cups
  • onions - 2 medium
  • tomatoes- 1
  • ginger garlic paste - 1 tspn
  • haldi - 1 tspn
  • chilli powder - 1 tspn
  • dhaniya powder - 1/2 tspn
  • cumin seeds - 1/2 tspn
  • Tejpatta - 1
  • salt
  • oil for frying
  • water - enough to soak bari

How to make Chana dal bari ki sabji

  1. SAUTE THE CHANA DAL BARIS IN OIL.
  2. REMOVE THEM AND HEAT WATER.
  3. TRANSFER THE FRIED BARIS IN THIS WATER AND LEAVE.
  4. HEAT OIL, ADD CUMIN SEEDS, ALLOW THEM TO CRACKLE.
  5. ADD RED CHILLIES, TEJPATTA
  6. ADD CHOPPED ONIONS AND SAUTE TILL TRANSLUCENT
  7. ADD GINGER GARLIC PASTE.
  8. HALDI.
  9. ADD CHILLI POWDER, DHANIYA POWDER.
  10. ADD ROUGHLY CHOPPED TOMATO, SALT AND COOK.
  11. CHECK THE TOMATO IF THEY HAVE BECOME SOFT.
  12. ADD THE SOAKED BARIS ALONG WITH THE WATER.
  13. ADD SUFFICIENT WATER AND COVER IT FOR 2 TO 3 MIN ON MEDIUM FLAME.
