About Kachhe Aam ki chutney Recipe

A khatti meethi chutney made of unripe mangoes or partially ripe mangoes. You can eat this with chapatis if you love mangoes.

Ingredients to make Kachhe Aam ki chutney

  • Unripe mangoes - 4 to 5 medium
  • sugar - 2 cups
  • salt - 1/2 tspn
  • red chilli - 2
  • Tejpatta - 1
  • cumin seeds - 1/2 tspn
  • cumin pepper powder - 1/2 tspn

How to make Kachhe Aam ki chutney

  1. HEAT GHEE, ADD CUMIN SEEDS, RED CHILIES AND TEJPATTA
  2. ONCE IT CRACKLES, ADD GRATED MANGOES ALONG WITH SEEDS AND SAUTE.
  3. ADD SALT AND MIX
  4. ADD SUGAR
  5. KEEP ON STIRRING TILL THE SUGAR GETS DISSOLVED.
  6. THE MIXTURE GETS VISCOUS AS THE SUGAR DISSOLVES.
  7. ADD SAUTED CUMIN AND PEPPER POWDER AND COOK FOR 1 MIN
  8. SWITCH OFF THE FLAME AND TRANFER IT IN A BOWL

My Tip:

If you have 1 kg mangoes, you need approx 1 kg of sugar. You can even add jaggery along with sugar.
