Karela..no more kadva... :yum:

Ingredients to make Karela..no more kadva...:yum:

  • 500gm karela
  • 1 kg onion
  • 2aambi
  • jeera 1 tsp
  • saunf 1/2 tsp
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • hing 1 pinch
  • salt to taste
  • mirch 1 tsp
  • dhaniya 1 tsp
  • haldi powder 1/2 tsp

How to make Karela..no more kadva...:yum:

  1. Cut karele into slices, pour them into water with a pinch of salt boil it for five mins in high flame. Drain them, cool them, mash them with hands.
  2. In a kadahi take oil warm it add jeera, saunf, sliced onion, hing shallow fry onion in low flame till it becomes pink only or lightest brown
  3. Add mashed karela, sliced aambi, mirchi, dhaniya, haldi, salt mix well cook for good 12 or 15 mins.

My Tip:

Take double amount of onion compare to karela 1:2 ratio
