  • Urad dhal-1cup soaked for 3-4hours
  • onion-1chopped
  • curry leaves-chopped
  • Green chilli- 2chopped
  • pepper corns-2spn
  • ginger-1inch grated
  • salt
  • oil-for fry

How to make Medu vadai/ ulunthu vadai

  1. TAKE YOUR INGREDIENTS
  2. ADD URAD DAL TO MIXER JAR AND GRIND IT NOTES- SOAK URAD DHAL FOR 3-4 HOURS
  3. ADD VERY LITTLE WATER AND GRIND IT AGAIN TO SMOOTH BATTER
  4. BATTER IS READY NOW
  5. TRANSFER TO BOWL,ADD 1CHOPPED ONION, CHOPPED CURRY LEAVES, CHILLI AND GRATED GINGER AND PEPPER
  6. ADD SALT AND MIX WELL
  7. HEAT OIL IN A PAN
  8. DIP UR HAND IN WATER AND TAKE LEMON SIZE BALL FROM THE BATTER
  9. PUT A HOLE IN CENTERWITH YOUR THUMB
  10. ADD IT TO HEATED OIL AND FRY
  11. FLIP IT FOR FOUR TIMES
  12. WHEN IT TURNS GOLDEN AND CRISPY, SEPERATE IT FROM OIL WITH LADDLE
  13. TRANSFER TO STRAINER VESSEL
