Mango basundi is an easy and sweet bengali dish. Its coolness makes it the best dessert for the summers

Mango basundi

Ingredients to make Mango basundi

  • Milk - 2 cup
  • Peeled and grated mango - 1 cup
  • sugar - 4 tbsp
  • Rose water - 1 tsp
  • Blanched and chopped almonds - 10
  • Blanched and chopped pistachios -  10
  • rose petal - 5 to 6

How to make Mango basundi

  1. In a thick bottom pan boil some milk.
  2. Add sugar in it and simmer it for 10 mins.
  3. Add 1 cup of peeled and grated mango in the same pan.
  4. Simmer it for 5 mins.
  5. After 5 mins, pour the mixture in a bowl and let it cool for awhile.
  6. Once it gets cool refrigerate it for an hour.
  7. After an hour  take it out from the fridge.
  8. Add dry fruits and rose water in it.
  9. Garnish it with rose petals.
  10. Serve it chilled.
