ABOUT Gulab Jamun Kulfi RECIPE

In summer everybody wants to eat and drink some cool and chilled food. This recipe is a very famous recipe from the North especially Delhi and UP during summer.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Milk 1 liter
  2. 12-15 gulab jamuns (small size)
  3. 1/2 cup milk powder
  4. 1/2 cup milk on room tempreture and few saffron flakes (mix it well)
  5. 1 tin condensed milk
  6. 1/2 cup mawa
  7. 1/2 roasted and crushed almond and pistachios
  8. 2-3 tsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Boil milk in deep pan, till it is just half of its original quantity. In a bowl, mix in the corn starch and milk powder with 1/2 cup saffron milk to make a paste and mix it in the boiling milk and cook till its thick.
  2. Now add condensed milk, mawa,roasted and crushed almond and pistachio and continue to mix it well. Now add the gulab jamun and continue to mix and cook it well. When it's thick and properly done, turn off the stove and keep it aside to cool.
  3. Now pour these in kulfi molds or tin to set in the freezer for atleast 4 hours. When it is properly set, cut in pieces or demould it and serve with saffron syrup.
