About Paneer in White Sauce Recipe

Paneer in White Sauce is very tasty and simple variety of paneer. Serve with dinner rolls, buns, toast, stir fried rice or even with plain parathas.

Paneer in White Sauce

Ingredients to make Paneer in White Sauce

  • cottage cheese 250 gms,
  • butter 4 tbsp
  • flour 2 tbsp
  • Milk 1 cup or more
  • salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves a handful finely chopped
  • nutmeg powder a pinch
  • pepper power 1 tsp taste
  • green chillies 2 tbsp

How to make Paneer in White Sauce

  1. MELT 4 TBSP BUTTER IN A NON-STICK PAN.
  2. ADD 1 TBSP GREEN CHILLIES, SAUTE FOR 2-3 SECONDS.
  3. ADD 2TBSP FLOUR, STIR BRISKLY FOR 1-2 MINUTES ON LOW MEDIUM HEAT.
  4. STIR CONTINUOUSLY TILL TURNS PINKISH BROWN.
  5. ADD 1 CUP MILK, STIRRING CONTINUOUSLY FOR A MINUTES TO AVOID LUMPS.
  6. LET THE SAUCE SIMMER ON LOW HEAT, STIR OCCASIONALLY.
  7. SEASON WITH 1 TSP BLACK PEPPER, SALT TO TASTE, A PINCH NUTMEG POWER.
  8. SAUCE SHOULD TURN THICK.
  9. YET BE OF FLOWING CONSISTENCY ADD MORE 1/4 CUP MILK & COOK.
  10. IN THE FINAL BOIL ADD 250 GMS PANEER CUBES.
  11. STIR IN GENTLY.
  12. ADD 1 TBSP GREEN CORRIANDER LEAVES. TAKE OFF HEAT.
  13. POUR IT CAREFULLY IN A SERVING BOWL.
  14. TOP WITH FRESH CORIANDER.
