About Pineapple Malpua in Rose Water Syrup Recipe

Malpua is a pancake served as a dessert or a snack, popular in India and Bangladesh. It is a very popular dish of Odisha and is also served to Lord Jagannath of Puri in his Sakala Dhupa (morning food served to the lord). I have used pineaaple to give it flavor of fruit also.

Pineapple Malpua in Rose Water Syrup

Ingredients to make Pineapple Malpua in Rose Water Syrup

  • all purpose flour 4 tbsp
  • semolina 2 tbsp
  • Baking Powder a pinch
  • pineapple puree 3/4 cup
  • water 1/2 cup or less depending upon consistency
  • sugar 1/2 cup or depending upon sweetness you like
  • For Syrup:::::----
  • water 4 tbsp
  • rose petals
  • sugar 8 tbsp

How to make Pineapple Malpua in Rose Water Syrup

  1. Take 4 tbsp of All Purpose Flour in a bowl
  2. Add 2 tbsp of Sooji in it
  3. Add Baking Powder
  4. Add Pineapple Puree and Water to it
  5. mix well and the batter is ready
  6. take 2 tbsp of oil in a pan and Pour half a ladle into it. and cook till golden from both sides.

My Tip:

Batter Consistency Test---Ladle must be covered while pouring the batter.
