Cabbage Mutta Porichathu

Ingredients to make Cabbage Mutta Porichathu

  • cabbage- 1/2 cabbage of small size, chopped finely
  • green chilly- 2 nos cut length wise or big roundels
  • onion- 1 medium size cut length wise
  • tomato:- 1 roughly chopped
  • curry leaves- few sprigs
  • turmeric powder- 1 1/2 tsp
  • mustard seeds- 1 tsp
  • cumin Seeds- 1 tsp
  • hing- 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • egg- 2 nos
  • oil as required

How to make Cabbage Mutta Porichathu

  1. Heat oil add mustard and cumin seeds, allow it to splutter. Add onion, green chilly and curry leaves fry until onion turns little pink in color
  2. Add turmeric powder,hing, salt and tomato cook covered for few minutes until tomato turns mushy.
  3. Break one egg and stir well and make like bhurji, once done move this in side and on the side of same pan add little oil and stir cabbage for 2 mins in medium heat.
  4. Once cabbage is half cooked mix all tomato and egg mix properly until its incorporated well with cabbage
  5. Add coriander leaves stir well and switch off the flame.
  6. Serve hot with rotis or rice
