About Apple kheer Recipe

A wonderful and healthy desert. You can add rice if you want rice kheer in apple flavour.

Apple kheer

Ingredients to make Apple kheer

  • apples - 1 or 2( depending on size)
  • Milk - 3/4 l
  • sugar - 5 tspn
  • almonds - 4
  • Custard powder - 1 tspn
  • cardamom powder 1 tspn
  • Chopped apples - 1 tspn
  • Condensed milk/ khoa - 1tspn(optional)

How to make Apple kheer

  1. GRATE THE APPLES. YOU CAN PEEL OR LEAVE THE SKIN.
  2. TAKE CUSTARD POWDER AND ADD COLD MILK
  3. MIX PROPERLY SO THAT NO LUMPS ARE FORMED.
  4. HEAT GHEE AND ADD THE GRATED APPLES.
  5. SAUTE TILL IT CHANGES COLOR.
  6. ADD SUGAR, ALMONDS AND MIX PROPERLY TILL SUGAR MELTS.
  7. KEEP THE SAUTED APPLES ASIDE AND HEAT MILK
  8. KEEP ON STIRRING
  9. ADD THE CUSTARD POWDER DISSOLVED IN MILK AND MIX
  10. KEEP ON STIRRING SO THAT IT MIXES PROPERLY AND ALLOW TO BOIL
  11. TRANSFER THIS MILK TO PREPARED APPLE PUREE AND STIR WELL
  12. ADD SUGAR. COOK TILL THE MILK THICKENS
  13. ADD CARDAMOM POWDER
  14. ADD RAISINS AND CHOPPED APPLES

My Tip:

Custard powder can be substituted by condensed milk or khoa
