About Mango Idly Recipe

I have given a twist to the regular idlis with the Mango fruit.

Mango Idly

Ingredients to make Mango Idly

  • 1 bowl sooji
  • 1 bowl mango puree or 1 ripe mango
  • Black salt
  • red chilli powder
  • Eno fruit salt

How to make Mango Idly

  1. TAKE SOOJI , SOUR CURD , BLACK SALT, RED CHILLI POWDER AND ENO TO IT.MIX IT WELL.
  2. NOW PUT SOME WATER IN THE IDLY MAKER OR STEAMER.BOIL IT.
  3. IN THE MEAN WHILE PEEL AND CHOPP THE RIPE MANGO.BLEND IT AND MAKE THE PUREE.
  4. ADD TED CHILLI POWDER AND BLACK SALT AND ENO TO THE BATTER AND MANGO PUREE.MIX IT VERY WELL.
  5. PUT 1 SCOOP BATTER TO MOULDS.
  6. NOW PUT THE MOULD INTO THE STEAMER.COVER IT .
  7. AFTER 10 MINS OPEN THE LID..CHECK IT WITH THE KNIFE.IF ITS NOT STICKY THEN ITS DONE.
  8. TAKE IT OUT FROM THE STEAMER.
  9. UNMOULD OR TAKE OUT THE IDLIS FROM THE MOULDS.
  10. MANGO IDLY IS READ TO EAT.
