Spicy vegetable pulao

Ingredients to make Spicy vegetable pulao

  • Basmati rice 2 cup
  • water for soaking rice
  • oil 2 teaspoon
  • 1 medium sized onion, sliced
  • 1 medium sized tomato, sliced
  • 1 cup boiled cauliflower, carrot, peas, potatoes, french beans
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 cardamom
  • 1 cinnamon
  • Few coriander leaves
  • Few pudina leaves
  • 1/2 tsp garlic-ginger paste
  • salt to taste

How to make Spicy vegetable pulao

  1. Soak the rice for 30 minutes. Now take a pan on medium heat, add asafoetida, then add garlic-ginger paste. Add bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves. Saute it.
  2. Add the sliced onion and saute it. Then add the chopped tomatoes and cook it.
  3. Next add the boiled carrot, potatoes, peas, french beans, cauliflower. Mix it well.
  4. Add turmeric powder, coriander leaves, pudina leaves, chilli powder, pulao masala, salt in it. Mix well.
  5. Now add the soaked and drained rice in it. Add enough water as necessary and mix it well. Close the lid of the pan.
  6. Cook until the rice gets cooked. Then check it and serve with raita or sliced onion.
