Ingredients to make Amala Raita/ Nellikai Pachadi

  • Amala-5
  • coconut pieces-1/3 cup
  • Green chili-1
  • ginger- a small piece
  • Curd/yogurt-1 cup
  • salt to taste
  • To temper:
  • oil-1/2 tsp
  • mustard-1/3 tsp
  • hing powder-1/4tsp
  • curry leaves

How to make Amala Raita/ Nellikai Pachadi

  1. IN A MIXER, ADD DESEEDED AMALA, COCONUT PIECES
  2. GREEN CHILI AND A SMALL PIECE OF GINGER
  3. GRIND IT TO A PASTE FORM WITH LITTLE WATER.
  4. TAKE CURD/YOGURT IN A BOWL AND WHISK IT WELL
  5. ADD THE GROUND PASTE TO IT, MIX.
  6. ADD SALT AND MIX WELL.DILUTE WITH LITTLE WATER
  7. HEAT OIL IN A TADKA PAN, POP OUT MUSTARD, HING
  8. ADD CURRY LEAVES AND POUR THE TADKA OVER THE MIX.
