Malai Kofta

Ingredients to make Malai Kofta

  • 3 medium size potatoes
  • 2 heapad tbsp each of crumbled paneer
  • 1tbsp of each khoya and thick malai
  • 4-5 cashewnuts chopped
  • 1 tsp chopped raisins
  • 2-3 finely chopped green chillies
  • 1/4 tsp suger
  • 1 tsp coriender powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp red-chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp cardamam powder
  • salt to teste
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil/ghee
  • oil for frying the koftas

How to make Malai Kofta

  1. Boil the potaoes till tender.peel,mash and add salt to teste.keep aside.
  2. Mix all the other ingredients for the kofta into a paste.make rounds of the potato dough and place a little of the prepared mixture in the center of each round.
  3. Seal the edges and shape into stuffed rounds.
  4. Deep fry each kofta till golden brown.
  5. Drain and keep aside.
  6. Add kofta in prepared gravy.
  7. Serve hot.
