About Pepper Chicken Recipe

A flavorful, simple and easy black pepper chicken recipe prepared using few basic ingredients and coarsely grounded black peppercorns which turned out amazingly delicious. This serves as a delicious and healthy side dish.

Pepper Chicken

Ingredients to make Pepper Chicken

  • 500 gms chicken
  • 2 tbsps oil
  • 2 dry red chillies broken
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 2 onion finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander seeds grounded
  • 3 tbsps coarsely grounded peppercorns
  • water as required

How to make Pepper Chicken

  1. HEAT 2 TBSP OIL, ADD 1 TBSP GINGER-GARLIC PASTE, 2 BROKEN DRY RED CHILLIES, SAUTE FOR 1 MINUTE
  2. ADD 1 SPRIG CURRY LEAVES, 2 FINELY CHOPPED ONIONS, SAUTE FOR 2 MINS
  3. ADD SALT TO TASTE, 1 CHOPPED TOMATO, FRY UNTIL IT TURNS SOFT & MUSHY
  4. ADD 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER, 1 TBSP CORIANDER POWDER, 3 TBSP PEPPER POWDER, SAUTE FOR 1 MINUTE
  5. ADD 500 GMS CHICKEN PIECES, MIX WELL WITH THE MASALA
  6. COVER & COOK ON LOW-MEDIUM HEAT, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY FOR 10 MINS
  7. SPRINKLE LITTLE WATER, MIX & COOK FOR 10-15 MINS
  8. SPRINKLE SOME CRUSHED BLACK PEPPER, SERVE HOT
