About Tandoori Aloo Recipe

Tandoori aloo are fried potatoes. A good recipe for starter.

Tandoori Aloo

Ingredients to make Tandoori Aloo

  • 250 gms baby potatoes
  • Hung curd 3/4 cup
  • Carrom seeds 1/2 tsp
  • rock salt
  • oil 4 tsp
  • Fresh cream 3 tbsp
  • gram flour 1.5 tbsp
  • Crushed kasoori methi 3/4 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1 /4 tsp
  • Chat masala 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • red chilli powder 1.5 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp

How to make Tandoori Aloo

  1. PRESSURE COOK 250 GMS BABY POTATOES UPTO 1 WHISTLE, COOL & PEEL
  2. PRICK THEM WITH A FORK
  3. TAKE 3/4 CUP HUNG CURD, ADD 1/4 TSP TURMERIC, 1 TSP CORIANDER & 1/2 TSP GARAM MASALA POWDERS
  4. ADD 1 TSP CHAT MASALA, 1/2 TSP EACH OF ROCK SALT & CAROM SEEDS
  5. ADD SALT TO TASTE, 3/4 TSP CRUSHED KASURI METHI, 1.5 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER
  6. ADD 1. 5 TSP GRAM FLOUR, 3 TBSP FRESH CREAM, MIX WELL
  7. ADD THE POTATOES, MIX & MARINATE FOR 2 HOURS IN THE REFRIGERATOR
  8. THE POTATOES ARE NOW READY TO FRY
  9. DEEP FRY IN HOT OIL IN A NONSTICK PAN
  10. COOK UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP FROM ALL SIDES
  11. DRAIN ON A PAPER NAPKIN
  12. SERVE HOT WITH CHUTNEY
