Almond katli is quick and tasty sweet which can be prepared at anytime.Here i used storebought almond powder

Almond / Badam Katli

Ingredients to make Almond / Badam Katli

  • almond Powder - 1 cup
  • sugar -1/2 cup
  • water -1/4 cup
  • ghee - 1/2 tsp

How to make Almond / Badam Katli

  1. In a non stick pan add water and sugar ,Stir in sugar until it dissolves .Once the sugar dissolves,its starts to bubbles .Add the almond powder and mix in low flame.
  2. Scrap the sides and keep cooking.it will become dry and should be a flexible dough.You can even a try rolling a tiny ball,if its forms then its the correct consistency.Then switch off the flame.
  3. When it is warm,start to knead it,if u feel the dough is dry then add the ghee and knead it until it comes to smooth dough.Place the dough in inverted plate,apply a butter paper over it.
  4. Now start rolling with a chapathi roller to 1/4 inch thick.cut into a desired shape.Cool down and store it in a airtight container .
