Soothing curry for hot summer.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Raw papaya 1 (medium size)
  2. Roughly chopped pumpkin leaves (5-6)
  3. Squash 1 (medium size)
  4. Masoor dal 1/2 cup
  5. Chopped onion 1/2
  6. ginger paste 1/2 tsp
  7. garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  8. Green chillies 3-4
  9. mustard oil 2 tbsp
  10. salt 1 tbsp (as per taste)
  11. turmeric a pinch
  12. Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  13. water 2 cups

Instructions

  1. Cut the vegetables and pumkin leaves into big size pieces. Wash them with cold water.
  2. Wash masoor dal and let it to dry.
  3. In a pressure cooker put Mustard oil. Fry the onion till light brown then add green chillies, ginger and garlic paste.
  4. Put the masoor dal and fry for 2 minutes. Now add the chopped vegetables and pumkin leaves.
  5. Now add salt, turmeric and baking soda. And fry for a couple of minutes.
  6. Add 2 cups of water and close the pressure cooker lid and let it whistle for 6-8 times.
  7. The soothing curry is ready. Serve with plain rice.
