Ingredients to make Rainbow cake

  • all purpose flour/maida -200gms
  • Powdered sugar -150gms
  • curd-180ml
  • oil-40ml
  • Milk-60ml
  • Baking powder -1tsp
  • baking soda-1/2tsp
  • Vanilla essence-1/4tsp
  • Five different food colors

How to make Rainbow cake

  1. Preheat the oven for 10mins .
  2. Add a curd to the bowl and then powdered sugar and oil to it .whisk until smooth cream .
  3. Gradually add flour in little quantities .
  4. Gradually add milk for cake batter consistency then add baking soda and baking powder .
  5. Whisk them until it gets a cake consistency .
  6. Divide the cake batter into 5different bowls in a equal manner . add 5different food colors to the cake batter and mix them .
  7. Grease little oil to cake tin . pour the five different cake batter one by one .tap 2-3times to get even batter .
  8. Place the cake tin to the 10mins preheated oven and let the cake bake for 40-45mins .
  9. After 45mins just stick a toothpick into the centre of your cake . if these is wet batter still on the toothpick, it needs more time in the oven .If it comes out clean your cake is done!

My Tip:

You can add any food colors to it.
