About Pineapple pachadi. Recipe

An inevitable sidedish for all Kerala sadhyas. A sweet & sour curry, goes well with rice. We can make ripe mango in the same way.

Pineapple pachadi.

Ingredients to make Pineapple pachadi.

  • pineapple 1 cup chopped into small pieces.
  • chilli powder 1/4 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • salt
  • curd 1 cup
  • sugar 3 to 4 tsp according to taste.
  • To grind
  • Grated coconut 2 cups
  • jeera 1/4 tsp
  • Green chillies 2
  • To Temper
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • methi seeds a pinch
  • Red chillies 2
  • curry leaves a few.

How to make Pineapple pachadi.

  1. Grind all ingredients given ,to a fine paste.
  2. Put pineapple pieces in a other. Add 1 cup of water & chilli ,turmeric powders & salt. Cook till 2 whistles.
  3. Let the steam go. Then open the lid & add ground ingredients, curd & sugar. Add a little more water , if needed. Cook till gravy is thick.
  4. Temper the given ingredients & add to the gravy. Stir well.
  5. Serve hot.

My Tip:

The consistency of gravy, u can make it thick or pouring stage.
