Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rasbhari...250 gramms or one bundle
  2. Tomato puree of 3 or 4 tomatoes with 2 green chillies and 1 inch piece of ginger
  3. Garam masala ... 1/4 tea spoon
  4. Cumin seed 1/4 tea spoon
  5. Turmeric powder 1/4 tea spoon
  6. salt to taste
  7. asafoetida ..1 pinch
  8. Oil or desi ghee ...1 tea spoon


  1. Wash the fruit nicely and keep aside. These could be used as whole or you can cut these in half
  2. Heat oil or desi ghee , whatever using in a woke and put asafoetida and cumin seed and let it cook
  3. Add tomato puree , salt and masalas and cook until the masala leaves the woke, add 1 cup of water and give it a nice boil
  4. Add rasbhari and cook for one minute or so.
  5. Switch off the gas and keep it covered for some time
  6. A tangy fruit based sabji is ready to enjoy
  7. Enjoy
