Ingredients to make Khandvi in Microwave in 7 minutes

  • 1/2 cup besan/chickpea flour
  • 1/2 tsp hing/asafoetida
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric/ haldi powder
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 1 cup water
  • salt to taste
  • For tadka:
  • oil 2 tsp
  • 2tsp Rai
  • 2tsp white til
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • dessicated coconut 1 tbsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves to garnish

How to make Khandvi in Microwave in 7 minutes

  1. IN A BOWL MIX 1/2 CUP BESAN/CHICKPEA FLOUR, 1/2 TSP HING/ASAFOETIDA AND 1/4 TSP HALDI/TURMERIC
  2. MIX 1/2 CUP CURD AND 1 CUPS WATER
  3. MIX SALT TO TASTE AND WHISK IT PROPERLY
  4. PUT ALL THESE INGREDIENTS IN MIXER JAR AND GRIND IT TO PROPER PASTE WITHOUT ANY LUMPS.
  5. TRANSFER THIS INTO MICROWAVE SAFE BOWL AND MICRO HIGH IT FOR 2 MINUTES. REMOVE AND MIX WELL.
  6. TAKE OUT STIR IT WITH WHISK. PUT AGAIN IN MICRO FOR 1.5 MIN. REPEAT THIS FOR TOTAL 7 MINUTES IN ALL
  7. NOW SPREAD THE BATTER ON ALUMINUM FOIL WITH SPOON,  AS THIN AS YOU CAN.
  8. REPEAT THIS TO SPREAD AS THIN AS YOU CAN
  9. SMOOTHEN THE GAPS
  10. CUT INTO EQUAL SIZED STRIPS. GENTLY ROLL EACH STRIP TIGHTLY. THEN PLACE THEM IN A PLATE
  11. IN A TADKA PAN HEAT 2 TSP OIL
  12. PUT 2TSP RAI IN OIL. WHEN IT CRACKLES ADD FEW CURRY LEAVES
  13. ADD 2TSP WHITE TIL/ SEASAME SEEDS
  14. POUR THIS TADKA OVER PREPARED KHANDVI
  15. GARNISH WITH GRATED COCONUT AND FRESH CORIANDER LEAVES.
  16. ENJOY KHANDVI
