Wild mango payasam is an innovative recipe, very tasty and special dish.

Wild Mango Payasam

Ingredients to make Wild Mango Payasam

  • Wild ripe mangoes 10
  • coconut grated 2 cup
  • White rice 3 tsp
  • water
  • salt a pinch
  • jaggery 100 gms
  • cardamom powder 1 tsp

How to make Wild Mango Payasam

  1. Wash, peel and squeeze wild ripe mangoes.
  2. Soak rice for 5-10 minutes
  3. Boil a ltr of water, add squeezed seeds of mangoes.
  4. After 5 minutes add squeezed squash, allow it to boil for 2 more minutes.
  5. Add Jaggery and a pinch of salt, close the lid, turn off flame, let it dissolves.
  6. Grind soaked rice, grated coconut, by adding some water.
  7. Squeeze the coconut milk.
  8. Check whether Jaggery dissolved or not, add coconut milk.
  9. If necessary add some water.
  10. Bring it to boil.
  11. Add cardamom powder, mix well and turn off the flame.
  12. Serve in warm or cold tasty payasam.

My Tip:

You can use other varieties of mangoes, for good flavour use coconut milk only.
