ABOUT Gajar halwa RECIPE

This is a delicious recipe of the famous halwa, made with carrots.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Carrot 1kg
  2. Milk. 1/2kg
  3. Khoya 200gram
  4. Sugar 1cup
  5. Ghee200ml
  6. Chopped dry fruits 1/2cup
  7. Green cardemom 2
  8. Cloves 2
  9. Kewra water1tea spoon

Instructions

  1. Clean and wash carrots,grate and cook in milk on low flame for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat ghee in a kadahi/pan
  3. Add cardamon and cloves ,add carrot.
  4. Stir and cook till it dries ,add sugar stir and cook until the mixture is thick.
  5. Add khoya and cook on low flame ,stirring simultaneously
  6. When ghee starts leaving the edge of vessel add chopped dry fruits.mix well.
  7. Add kewra water and cover.
  8. Put off flame and leave for 5minutes.
  9. Serve.
