Ingredients to make Mishti Doi

  • 1 litre full cream milk
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp of curd
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • pistachios to garnish

How to make Mishti Doi

  1. In a heavy bottomed kadhai, take the milk and bring it to boil. Now lower the flame and keep stirring regularly till the milk is reduced to more than half.
  2. In a pan take the sugar and let it caramelise. Immediately add it to the reduced milk and give it a nice stir. Let the milk cool till it's lukewarm.
  3. Now add curd to it little by little and the cardamom powder. Mix and keep aside till the curd is set. Once done refrigerate it and serve chilled.
