Leftover rice tikki

Ingredients to make Leftover rice tikki

  • 1 cup leftover rice
  • 1 potato (boiled)
  • 1/2 carrot (grated)
  • any vegetable of your choice like broccoli stems, sweet corn
  • oil for roasting the tikkis
  • salt as per taste
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp chilly powder or green chillies finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • ginger-garlic paste (optional)

How to make Leftover rice tikki

  1. mix all ingredients together in a bowl
  2. mash them together and make small round balls
  3. flatten the balls to make tikkis
  4. roast them with some oil on pan
  5. roast well till they turn nice brown and crispy
  6. serve with tomato ketchup or green chutney
