Tuticorin Macroons

Ingredients to make Tuticorin Macroons

  • cashews plain 100 g
  • sugar 3/4 cup
  • egg whites 2
  • lemon juice 2 tsp

How to make Tuticorin Macroons

  1. Coarsely ground the cashews.
  2. Powder the sugar.
  3. Set aside
  4. Add the egg whites in to a clean and dry bowl
  5. Using an electric beater blend on a medium high speed until the egg whites become frothy and stiff.
  6. Pour in the lime juice and beat.
  7. Gradually add the powdered sugar and blend on the same speed.
  8. Add in the grounded cashew and gently mix the meringue with a spatula.
  9. Put the meringue in a piping bag and start piping as a cone.
  10. Be super fast.Delay might make the meringue runny.
  11. Bake at 100 degree in a preheated oven for 70 minutes.
  12. When done let the macroons rest in the open oven for 30 minutes.
  13. Yummy macroons are ready to munch on.
