Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Banana Blossoms 4 Cup
  2. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  3. Dry Red Chillies 3
  4. Cumin Seed 2 tsp
  5. Garlic Cloves 8
  6. Small Onion 1
  7. Small Potato 1
  8. Salt as per taste
  9. Mustard Oil 1 tbsp
  10. Water

Instructions

  1. Soak the cleaned banana blossoms in turmeric water for 10 mins. Drain it and coarsely grind the blossoms for 30 seconds. Now take it out and squeeze the water well from the Blossoms.
  2. Put it back into grinder. Add all the other ingredients except the potato and oil. Add 1/2 cup of water and make a fine paste.
  3. Take a small pan. Make thin slices of potato, add the potato, oil, 1/2 cup of water and the prepared paste into the pan. Mix it well. Cook a low flame for about 15-20 mins until it's done. The texture should be a little dry.
  4. Our authentic "Bhonda Patua" is ready! Enjoy it with rice or roti as you like.
