Ingredients to make Mutton Masala

  • Mutton...1kg

  • Dry kashmiri red chilli...5
  • star anise...1
  • mace...1
  • cinnamon stick...1"

  • cloves...5
  • turmeric powder...3tspn
  • red chilli powder...1tspn
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder...1tspn
  • Garam masala...1tspn
  • Kasuri methi...1tspn

How to make Mutton Masala

  1. ADD 1 CUP CURD, SALT, 3 TSP TURMERIC, 1 TSP RED CHILLI POWDERS TO 1 KG MUTTON, MARINATE FOR 4 HOURS
  2. HEAT 2 TBSP OIL, ADD ALL THE WHOLE SPICES & 8-10 GARLIC CLOVES
  3. ADD 3 CHOPPED ONIONS, 2 TOMATOES & 1 TSP GINGER-GARLIC PASTE, SAUTE TILL SOFT, TAKE OFF HEAT
  4. ALLOW THE MASALA TO COOL, ADD TO A MIXER JAR, BLEND TILL SMOOTH
  5. FRY THE PASTE IN HOT OIL FOR A FEW SECONDS, ADD THE MARINATED MUTTON & ALL THE POWDERED SPICES
  6. MIX WELL & SAUTE
  7. ADD SOME HOT WATER, COVER & COOK ON LOW- MEDIUM HEAT TILL DONE
