Vanilla sponge cake

Ingredients to make Vanilla sponge cake

  • maida 1 cup
  • sugar 3/4th cup
  • eggs 3
  • butter 1/2 cup
  • Vegetable oil 1/2 Cup
  • Baking powder 1 tspn
  • Vanilla essence 1/2 tspn
  • Casew 1 handful
  • Raisin 1 handful
  • Sprinkle of salt

How to make Vanilla sponge cake

  1. Grind the sugar to make fine powder and keep aside
  2. Whisk the eggs in a blender. Pour powdered sugar and blend it.
  3. Pour maida, baking powder, melted butter, vegetable oil and vanilla essence together in the blender. Blend throughly. There should be no lump in the batter.
  4. Grease the microwave oven tray or container with melted butter. Pour the batter into the tray.
  5. Cook in plain microwave mode for 8-10 min. Keep in standing time for 5 min.
  6. After 3-4 min of starting microwave mode pause the cooking, bring out the tray, add casew add raisins, again start the microwave cooking.
