Lahori fish fry

Ingredients to make Lahori fish fry

  • Fish slices 15 ( I used Pomfret )
  • maida 2-3 tablespoons
  • Corn flour 1 cup
  • salt 1 teaspoon
  • For grinding marinade :
  • red chillies 4
  • garlic fat pods 7
  • cumin seeds 1 tablespoon
  • caraway seeds 1 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder 2 teaspoons
  • red chilli powder 3 teaspoons
  • coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  • salt as required
  • water little
  • Other Ingredients :
  • Besan flour 4 tablespoons
  • lime juice 1 tablespoon
  • oil for Deep frying

How to make Lahori fish fry

  1. In a wide bowl take 1 cup corn flour , 1/2 cup Maida , salt . Mix all together . Don’t add water.
  2. Coat every fish slice in this Maida - corn flour mixture . Rest the coated fish slices for 20 mins.
  3. Blend 7 fat garlic , 4 red chillies , 1 tablespoon cumin seeds , 1 teaspoon caraway seeds, turmeric
  4. , coriander powder , red chilli powder , little water to a smooth paste . Transfer this to a bowl .
  5. Add 4 tablespoons Besan flour , salt , lemon juice . Now marinate the fish slices in this masala .
  6. Overnight marination gives Desired result . Heat oil for deep frying . Fry the fishes in batches .
  7. Don’t overcrowd the wok . Fry in medium heat . Drain excess oil .
  8. Crunchy Lahori fish fry is ready to serve . Serve hot .
