ABOUT Pani Puri RECIPE

Presently residing in USA, so missing Indian style Panipuri. Wo thela,shop etc, asking for kabhi teekha and kabhi meetha and in last Dahi wala Golgappa. As we all know panipuri is a common street snack. Popular in each and every region of India and also liked Internationally. It consists of a round, hollow puri, fried crisp and filled with a mixture of flavored water, tamarind chutney, chili, chaat masala, potato, onion or chickpeas, potatoes etc.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. For Puri::::-
  2. Semolina 1 cup
  3. All Purpose Flour 4 tablespoon
  4. Salt 1 teaspoon
  5. Baking powder 1/4 teaspoon
  6. For Pani::::----
  7. Fresh coriander 1 cup
  8. Garlic Cloves 3
  9. Green chilli 1-2
  10. Roasted Cumin 1 teaspoon
  11. Sea salt 1/2 teaspoon
  12. Hing a pinch
  13. Lemon juice 4 tablespoon
  14. water 2-3 cups
  15. boondi to add
  16. For stuffing::
  17. Boil potatoes 4 or chickpeas (as per your preference)
  18. add pani (prepared for pani puri)
  19. Mithi Chutney::::---
  20. Tamarind 1/2 cup
  21. saunth 1 teaspoon
  22. Sugar/ Jaggery 1 cup
  23. Salt to taste
  24. chilly powder to taste

Instructions

  1. for puri mix all the ingredients( Semolina, flour, salt and baking powder) and knead the dough.the dough must be soft.
  2. Cover it with a damp cloth.
  3. Rest the dough for 15 minutes.
  4. prepare pani by grinding all the ingredients into mixer jar . Add Coriander and garlic
  5. add Cumin.
  6. Add green chilli
  7. Salt and hing
  8. Lemon Juice
  9. after grinding
  10. Add 3 cups of water to it and add boondi. PANI is ready
  11. heat oil in a pan and divide the dough in two parts.
  12. start rolling a big chapati and cut with round cutter to make puri shapes.
  13. Start frying puri.
  14. puri will puff on their own if dough is well prepared.
