About Jeera Rice Recipe

Jeera rice is a midly spiced and flavourful indian rice dish flavoured with cumin.

Jeera Rice

Ingredients to make Jeera Rice

  • Basmati rice -5cup
  • cumin-2-3tbsp
  • cinnamon -1
  • Green cardamom -4
  • Black cardamom -2
  • ghee-2tbsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Jeera Rice

  1. Firstly wash the rice and soak the rice for 1/2 an hour.
  2. Take a pressure cooker, add ghee to it and then add cumin seeds, cinnamon, green and black cardamom to it. Stir it and then add soaked rice to it after draining its water. Cook it nicely for 1-2 minutes and then add salt to it and mix it well and then add same amount of water as the amount of rice into the cooker.
  3. Cover it with its lid and then cook it on high flame for 2 whistle and then switch off the flame and let it cool and then serve it.
