Its a full spicy mutton recipe specially for lazy Sunday lunch.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Mutton...1kg
  2. Onion...3 big
  3. Curd...100gm
  4. Garlic clove...15
  5. Ginger paste...2tspn
  6. Chopped tomato...2
  7. Turmeric powder...3tspn
  8. Kashmiri red chilli powder...2tspn
  9. Red chilli powder...1tspn
  10. Garam masala...1tspn
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Dry kashmiri red chilli...5
  13. Star anise...1
  14. Black cardamom...1
  15. Cinnamon stick...1
  16. Cloves...5
  17. Mace...1
  18. Kasuri methi...1tspn
  19. Mustard oil...1/2cup

Instructions

  1. Marinate the mutton with salt,curd,red chilli powder & turmeric powder for at least 4 hours.
  2. Heat oil ,add dry garlic cloves & all whole spices.Saute it for a while.
  3. Add chopped onion,tomato & ginger paste.Cook it for few minutes.
  4. Make it cool ,grind it & make a paste of it.
  5. Now again heat oil, fry the paste for few minutes.
  6. Add marinated mutton & all spices.Mix it well.Stir it constantly & cook it for 30 minutes.
  7. Now add water, cover it & cook it in medium heat till done.
  8. Adjust salt , sprinkle kasuri methi & switch off the flame.
  9. Serve it with butter naan,parantha or tandoori roti.
