About Lauki k kofte Recipe

"lauki k kofte" the yummy dish in vegetarian menu. generally enjoyed with fulkas as well rice. mouth melting kofte are must try vegetarian recipe.

Lauki k kofte

Ingredients to make Lauki k kofte

  • Bottle guard medium size
  • onion 2 medium size diced
  • Green chili 1 tbsp finely chopped
  • ginger chopped 1tsp
  • tomato chopped fresh 2 medium size
  • gram flour 4-5tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder,red chilli Powder,coriander powder,salt

How to make Lauki k kofte

  1. Peel the bottle gourd
  2. Grate the bottle gourd and squeeze the water keep aside for gravy use.
  3. Add gram flour, turmeric powder,red chilli powder, coriander powder and pinch of salt.
  4. Make flattened ball and deep fry.
  5. Dice onion,green chillies, ginger,garlic and tomatoes.
  6. Add 2-3tbsp fry till golden brown
  7. Grind it into a fine paste when it become cool.
  8. Now in 2-3tbsp oil add bay leaf,cumin seeds,cloves.
  9. Add the paste and spices with salt. fry for 5min
  10. Add water and boil for few minutes. add the kofte and remove it from the flame.
  11. Serve it with fresh cream or malai on it.

My Tip:

Squeeze grated bottle gourd so that while making kofte they won't become runny.
