About Kadhi Chicken Recipe

Fusion non-vegetarian kadhi recipe, to be served with some hot rice on the side.

Kadhi Chicken

Ingredients to make Kadhi Chicken

  • 1 kg of thigh pieces of chicken
  • Whisked yogurt 2 cups full
  • Minced ginger and green chilli - 2 tsp
  • Asafeteoda or hing a pinch of it.
  • Dry roasted bengal gram powder or besan around 2 teaspoon.
  • Dry roasted cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • salt
  • Veggies of your choice but that's optional
  • turmeric powder - 1/4 th tsp

How to make Kadhi Chicken

  1. In a wok take white oil and fry the chicken pieces with lil bit of salt and haldi to it.
  2. Fry the chicken pieces 5 mins on both the sides and pour water to it. Let the chicken cook and get tender.
  3. In a separate bowl mix dry roasted bengal gram powder and yogurt. Mix them well.
  4. Take a pan and for tempering add cumin and hing. Then put the minced ginger and green chilli. Fry them for 1 min in low flame.
  5. Then add the yogurt mixture in the pan. And then the cooked chicken pieces.
  6. Let it simmer for 5 mins then dish out by adding some dry roasted cumin powder.
  7. 2nd time tempering can be done too with cumin and corriander powder but that's optional.
