About Zeera Rice Recipe

Zeera Rice is an aromatic rice which can be accompanied with any side dish.

Zeera Rice

Ingredients to make Zeera Rice

  • 2 cups Basmati rice (Cooked)
  • 1/4 cup onions
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 1"cinnamon stick
  • 1 tbsp zeera
  • ghee 4 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp sugar

How to make Zeera Rice

  1. Heat ghee in a pan. Fry Zeera, bay leaf, cloves and cinnamon for few seconds.
  2. Once the Zeera splutters, add onions and sugar and cook till onions are translucent. Add salt and mix.
  3. Finally add the cooked rice and stir.

My Tip:

Cook the rice beforehand. Prepare Zeera Rice just few minutes before serving.
