About Mango Chinagrass Recipe

The best ever dessert made during summers by my Mom.

Mango Chinagrass

Ingredients to make Mango Chinagrass

  • China grass 5 gms
  • Milk 1/2 liter
  • sugar 3 to 4 tablespoons
  • cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  • mango cubed 1 big
  • pistachios 4
  • almonds 4

How to make Mango Chinagrass

  1. Snip chingrass into small pieces with scissors
  2. Soak this into milk for about 15 minutes
  3. Now boil milk with china grass
  4. keep the flame on low and stir continuously
  5. Next add sugar and cardamom powder
  6. Bring it to rolling boil and simmer for 5 minutes
  7. After 5 minutes switch off the flame and strain the milk mix through sieve
  8. Cool it a bit and pour into desired moulds or pan till half
  9. Add cubed mangoes and chopped dryfruits.
  10. Fill it to the brim with milk mix and keep in the fridge to chill for 4 hours
  11. Demould and serve with chopped dryfruits on the top.

My Tip:

Chinagrass sets quickly at the room temprature so pre preapre everything and then start.
