ABOUT Beetroot cutlets/ Bengali veg cutlet without ONION and GARLIC RECIPE

Usually in kolkata we make this cutlet with or without beetroot but it is called veg chop or veg cutlets. Even on the streets also we find this kinda fried snack.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 250 gms of grated boiled beetroot.
  2. 1 carrot grated or mashed and boiled
  3. Potato boiled and mashed - 2
  4. Dry roasted peanuts, broken into 2 halves
  5. Dry roasted cumin and chaat Masala
  6. Minced ginger and green chilli
  7. Fresh corriander is optional
  8. Bread crumbs and corn flour

Instructions

  1. Take all the veggies boiled and mashed up in a bowl.
  2. Add dry roasted cumin powder and ajwain ( optional) salt and chaat Masala.
  3. Put the dry roasted peanuts and mix it well.
  4. Take lil oil in a wok and add minced ginger and chilli green. Fry for 1.min and then add the mashed veggies into it.
  5. Mix them well and take it out.
  6. Give them a shape of your choice and put in a corn flour batter and then to the bread crumbs .
  7. Make sure it's binded well and coated well with bread crumbs.
  8. Then fry them in white oil.
  9. Serve it sliced onion,cucumber,carrot put some pepper to it and serve . Just like Kolkata style.
