ABOUT Radish Pickle | Mooli ka Achar RECIPE

Achar or Pickle – brings enormous taste to your food. We Indians love to have different types of Pickles in our dish and it goes with almost everything. Plus, it serves as a backup too. You can eat your Roti or Rice with Pickle alone and it will satisfy your taste buds. Mango Pickle is most favorite amongst us, but there are several others that are likened as well. Here we are coming with Muli Ka Aachar! Have a look at the way it is being prepared and do let us know with your feedback!

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Radish / Mooli – 1 cup (cubed pieces)
  2. Oil – 2 tablespoon
  3. Mustard Seeds / Rai – ½ tsp
  4. Cumin Seeds / Jeera – ½ tsp
  5. Asafetida / Hing – ¼ tsp
  6. Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirchi Powder – ¾ tsp
  7. Turmeric Powder / Haldi – ¼ tsp
  8. Mustard Powder / Rai – 1 tsp
  9. Cumin Powder / Jeera – ¼ tsp
  10. Sugar – ¼ tsp
  11. Salt – ¼ tsp

Instructions

  1. In a heating pan, add 2 tablespoon of Oil and allow it to heat nicely.
  2. Then add ½ tsp of Mustard Seeds, ½ tsp of Cumin Seeds, ¼ tsp of Hing and turn off the gas flame.
  3. After turning off the flame, add ¾ tsp of Red Chilli Powder, ¼ tsp of Haldi, 1 tsp of Mustard Powder, ¼ tsp of Cumin Powder, ¼ tsp of Sugar and ¼ tsp of Salt.
  4. Lastly add 1 cup of cubed Radish pieces and give a nice mix to pickle.
  5. Once cool down, pickle is ready to serve.
