Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/4th cup Almond Powder (any badam health drink mix powder, I have used MTR)
  2. 3/4th cup Maida/ All purpose Flour
  3. 1/4th cup Dessicated Coconut
  4. 2 pinches of salt
  5. 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  6. 1/4th cup Clarified Butter/ Ghee
  7. 3/4th Cup Granulated Sugar/ Caster
  8. 2 tablespoons Milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees celsius. To begin with, in a mixing bowl add the butter and ghee. Mix it well.
  2. Make sure that the butter and ghee are at room temperature. Now to this add the maida, almond powder, sugar, salt, desiccated coconut. Mix it well.
  3. This mixture will be of crumbly texture initially. Slowly add the milk and start making a soft dough, do not knead the dough like a chapati dough. Mix it with soft hands.
  4. Now on a baking tray, place the parchment paper/butter paper. Make small round dough balls. Place the balls on the baking tray with some space in between them for the cookies to grow.
  5. Bake the cookies at 160 degrees celsius for 15 minutes or till they are slightly brownish on the top. Let them cool completely.
  6. Store them in an airtight container. Enjoy with tea!
